  • Reversal-free Ca II H Profiles: a Challenge for Solar Chromosphere Modeling in Quiet Inter-Network
There is no agreement on the thermal structure of the solar chromosphere. While results of the CO observations and 3D MHD simulations suggest very cool structures in the upper atmosphere, SUMER observations of UV spectral lines is interpreted as signature of a full-time hot chromosphere. We tried to look for cool structures in the solar

  • Revised Primordial Helium Abundance Based on New Atomic Data
We have derived a primordial helium abundance of Yp=0.2477+/-0.0029, based on new atomic physics computations of the recombination coefficients of He I and of the collisional excitation of the H I Balmer lines together with observations and photoionization models of metal-poor extragalactic H II regions. The new atomic data increase our previous

  • Revisiting the (V/sigma,epsilon) anisotropy diagram of early-type galaxies using integral-field kinematics
We use integral-field observation of the stellar kinematics obtained with SAURON in combination with Schwarzschild dynamical models to revisit our understanding of the classic (V/sigma,epsilon) anisotropy diagram of early-type galaxies.

  • Revisiting the transits of CoRoT-7b at a lower activity level
The first super-Earth with measured radius discovered was CoRoT-7b and it has opened the new field of rocky exoplanet characterisation. To better understand this interesting system, new observations were taken with the CoRoT satellite. During this run 90 new transits were obtained in the imagette mode. These were analysed together with the previous

  • ROSAT observations of 3C radio-loud sources
The 3CRR sample of radio galaxies and quasars has been cross-correlated with the ROSAT PSPC All-Sky Survey. About 25 per cent of the objects have been detected in the 0.2-2.4 keV range, the large majority being powerful radio and X-ray emitters with a range of X-ray luminosities between 10^44 and 10^46 erg s^-1. The 0.2-2.4 keV spectrum of the
