The area of technological and business collaboration of the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias, ICTec organized a meeting for discussion about the transfer of technology and knowledge generated by Astrophysics. This takes place on November 23rd and is included in the framework of the Knowledge Cities World Summit (KCWS 2018).

The audiovisual series “The IAC investigates” produced by the IAC within its Unit of Communication and Scientific Culture (UC3) with funding from the Severo Ochoa programme, received the prize for the best scientific audiovisual production in the category of Research, Development and Innovation (R+D+I) in the XXIX edition of the International Bienale of Science Cinema BICC2018 Ronda-Madrid-Mexico.

Tendrá lugar el día 23 de noviembre y estará enmarcado en el Encuentro Mundial de Ciudades del Conocimiento (KCWS 2018).

The Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias has participated in the discovery of a frozen super-Earth around Barnard’s star, in the second nearest solar system to ourselves.
