Description
As a high-resolution, near-infrared, fiber-fed instrument, APOGEE
presents a unique opportunity to obtain multi-epoch radial velocity
measurements of a large number of low-mass stars. These observations
will reveal unseen companions, improving our understanding of stellar
multiplicity at the bottom of the Main Sequence, and may even identify
candidate sub-stellar companions. These same data contains an
unprecedented wealth of information about the kinematics, rotation, and
metallicities of these stars. I will describe the status of our
Ancillary Science program, and ongoing efforts to get the best possible
radial velocity precision from the APOGEE data.
