Description
Time resolved spectra of SS Cyg corresponding to different outburst types are analyzed. Some evidence has been found for an increase of the mass transfer rate from the secondary star as the mechanism responsible for symmetric outburst. Heating of the secondary star has been found during the rise to an asymmetric outburst which appears to be stronger and concentrated in a smaller area than that previously detected during the quiescent state. A pair of narrow absorption lines has been detected showing an unexpected behaviour. These lines originates in the disk and show an orbital behaviour that suggest the presence of some kind of complicated eclipsing structures in the disk.
