The EELabs project has a total budget of 1.241.586,40€, led by the IAC, as Principal Beneficiary, and to be developed in collaboration with the other entities participating in it, that is, the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Instituto Tecnológico y de Energías Renovables, SA, Portuguese Society for or Study of Birds (SPEA-Madeira) and Portuguese Association for or Study of Birds (SPEA-Azores.

The objective of EELabs is the protection and improvement of ecosystems Natura 2000 of the Macaronesia through infrastructure ecological aimed at minimizing light pollution and maximize the energy efficiency of new technologies illumination (LED).
