Description

The purpose of the Juan de la Cierva grants is to encourage the incorporation of young people, in possession of a doctorate degree, in order for them to complete their postdoctoral research training in Spanish R&D centers. Participants must meet the requirement of having a doctorate degree and having obtained it between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2022 for the general access shift and for the JDC-INIA-CCAA shift and between January 2020 and December 31, 2022 for the access shift for people with disabilities equal to or greater than 33 percent, except if they prove a cause of interruption in accordance with the call.

Applications for participation are submitted by the R&D centers, including the participants for their incorporation into the research teams. The selection is based on a competitive process based on their curricular merits and the scientific-technical history of the research team in which they want to join, giving special relevance to the merits related to the researcher tutor.

Granting of a maximum of 500 grants for a duration of two years for the employment of people in possession of a doctorate degree by Spanish R&D centers, of which 9 grants are reserved for the hiring of people with equal or greater disabilities. higher than 33 percent and 9 for the JDC-INIA-CCAA shift. The aid, whose annual amount is 30,000 euros, is intended to co-finance the salary and the company's Social Security contribution of the people hired during each of the annuities. In addition, an additional aid of 7,400 euros will be granted to cover expenses directly related to the execution of their research activities.
