  • Search for torsional oscillations in isolated sunspots
In this work we seek evidence for global torsional oscillations in alpha sunspots. We have used long time series of continuum intensity and magnetic field vector maps from the Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager (HMI) instrument on board the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) spacecraft. The time series analysed here span the total disk passage of 25

  • Search for third-generation scalar leptoquarks and heavy right-handed neutrinos in final states with two tau leptons and two jets in proton-proton collisions at √{s}=13 TeV
A search is performed for third-generation scalar leptoquarks and heavy right-handed neutrinos in events containing one electron or muon, one hadronically decaying τ lepton, and at least two jets, using a √{s}=13 TeV pp collision data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 12 .9 fb-1 collected with the CMS detector at the LHC in 2016

  • Search for supersymmetry in the all-hadronic final state using top quark tagging in p p collisions at √{s }=13 TeV
A search is presented for supersymmetry in all-hadronic events with missing transverse momentum and tagged top quarks. The data sample was collected with the CMS detector at the LHC and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 2.3 fb-1 of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. Search regions are defined using the

  • Search for rings and satellites around the exoplanet CoRoT-9b using Spitzer photometry
Using Spitzer photometry at 4.5 microns, we search for rings and satellites around the long period transiting planet CoRoT-9b. We observed two transits in 2010 and 2011. From their non-detection, we derive upper limits on the plausible physical characteristics of these objects in the planet environment. We show that a satellite larger than about 2

  • Search for new physics with dijet angular distributions in proton-proton collisions at √{s}=13 TeV
A search is presented for extra spatial dimensions, quantum black holes, and quark contact interactions in measurements of dijet angular distributions in proton-proton collisions at √{s}=13 TeV. The data were collected with the CMS detector at the LHC and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 2.6 fb-1. The distributions are found to be in

  • Search for heavy gauge W‧ bosons in events with an energetic lepton and large missing transverse momentum at √{ s} = 13 TeV
A search is presented for W‧ bosons in events with an electron or muon and large missing transverse momentum, using proton-proton collision data at √{ s} = 13 TeV collected with the CMS detector in 2015 and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.3 fb-1. No evidence of an excess of events relative to the standard model expectations is
