  • TOI-544 b: a potential water-world inside the radius valley in a two-planet system
    We report on the precise radial velocity follow-up of TOI-544 (HD 290498), a bright K star (V = 10.8), which hosts a small transiting planet recently discovered by the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS). We collected 122 high-resolution High Accuracy Radial velocity Planet Searcher (HARPS) and HARPS-N spectra to spectroscopically confirm

  • Catalogue of BRITE-Constellation targets. I. Fields 1 to 14 (November 2013-April 2016)
    Context. The BRIght Target Explorer (BRITE) mission collects photometric time series in two passbands with the aim of investigating stellar structure and evolution. Since their launches in the years 2013 and 2014, the constellation of five BRITE nano-satellites has observed a total of more than 700 individual bright stars in 64 fields. Some targets

  • Characterising the intra-cluster light in The Three Hundred simulations
    We characterise the intra-cluster light (ICL) in ensembles of full-physics cluster simulations from THE THREE HUNDRED project, a suite of 324 hydrodynamical resimulations of cluster-sized halos. We identify the ICL as those stellar particles bound to the potential of the cluster itself, but not to any of its substructures, and separate the

  • Characterizing the ELG luminosity functions in the nearby Universe
    Context. Nebular emission lines are powerful diagnostics for the physical processes at play in galaxy formation and evolution. Moreover, emission-line galaxies (ELGs) are one of the main targets of current and forthcoming spectroscopic cosmological surveys. Aims: We investigate the contributions to the line luminosity functions (LFs) of different

  • Extremely Red Galaxies at z = 5–9 with MIRI and NIRSpec: Dusty Galaxies or Obscured Active Galactic Nuclei?
    We study a new population of extremely red objects (EROs) recently discovered by the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) based on their NIRCam colors F277W ‑ F444W > 1.5 mag. We find 37 EROs in the Cosmic Evolution Early Release Science Survey (CEERS) field with F444W < 28 mag and photometric redshifts between 5 < z < 7, with median $z={6.9}_{-1.6}^{

  • J-PLUS: Toward a homogeneous photometric calibration using Gaia BP/RP low-resolution spectra
    Aims: We present the photometric calibration of the 12 optical passbands for the Javalambre Photometric Local Universe Survey (J-PLUS) third data release (DR3) comprising 1642 pointings of two square degrees each. Methods: We selected nearly 1.5 million main sequence stars with a signal-to-noise ratio larger than ten in the 12 J-PLUS passbands and
