  • Constraints on Jupiters from observations of Galactic bulge microlensing events during 2000
We present observations of eight Galactic bulge microlensing events taken with the 1.0-m Jacobus Kapteyn Telescope (JKT) on La Palma during 2000 June and July. The JKT observing schedule was optimized using a prioritizing algorithm to automatically update the target list. For most of these events we have sampled the light curves at times where no

  • Constraints on lepton flavor violation in the two Higgs doublet model
Constraints on the whole spectrum of lepton flavor violating vertices are shown in the context of the standard two Higgs doublet model. The vertex involving the $e- au$ mixing is much more constrained than the others, and the decays proportional to such vertex are usually very suppressed.

  • Constraints on the polarization of the anomalous microwave emission inthe Perseus molecular complex from 7-year WMAP data
We have used the seven year Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP) data in order to update the measurements of the intensity signal in the G159.6-18.5 region within the Perseus Molecular Complex, and to set constraints on the polarization level of the anomalous microwave emission in the frequency range where this emission is dominant. • Constraints on the Steady and Pulsed Very High Energy Gamma-Ray Emission from Observations of PSR B1951+32/CTB 80 with the MAGIC Telescope
We report on very high energy γ-ray observations with the MAGIC Telescope of the pulsar PSR B1951+32 and its associated nebula, CTB 80. Our data constrain the cutoff energy of the pulsar to be less than 32 GeV, assuming the pulsed γ-ray emission to be exponentially cut off. In the case that the cutoff follows a superexponential behavior, the cutoff

  • Constraints on the Surface Composition of Comet 28P/Neujmin 1
Jupiter family comets, Centaurs and Transneptunian Objects (TNOs) are three populations of minor solar system objects that are believed to be closely related. Information about the surface composition of these objects is scarce yet essential to understanding the links between them. Comet 28P/Neujmin 1 is among the largest and least active of the

  • Constraints to the masses of brown dwarf candidates form the lithium test
We present intermediate dispersion (0.7-2.2 A/pixel) optical spectroscopic observations aimed at applying the 'lithium test' to a sample of 10 brown dwarf candidates located in the general field, two in young open clusters, and two in close binaries. We find evidence for strong Li depletion in all of them, and thus infer lower mass limits of 0.065
