  • ATLAS-Teide: the next generation of ATLAS units for the Teide Observatory
SummaryIn this work we present the design of the ATLAS (Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System) unit that will be installed at Teide Observatory in Tenerife island (Spain). ATLAS-Teide will be built by the IAC and will operated as part of the ATLAS network in the framework of an operation and science exploitation agreement between the IAC

  • Absolute dimensions and apsidal motion of the eclipsing binaries V889 Aquilae and V402 Lacertae
Context. Double-lined eclipsing binaries allow the direct determination of masses and radii, which are key for testing stellar models. With the launch of the TESS mission, many well-known eclipsing binaries have been observed at higher photometric precision, permitting the improvement of the absolute dimension determinations. Aims: Using TESS data

  • A Multi-epoch, Multiwavelength Study of the Classical FUor V1515 Cyg Approaching Quiescence
Historically, FU Orionis-type stars are low-mass, pre-main-sequence stars. The members of this class experience powerful accretion outbursts and remain in an enhanced accretion state for decades or centuries. V1515 Cyg, a classical FUor, started brightening in the 1940s and reached its peak brightness in the late 1970s. Following a sudden decrease

  • A Mass Model for the Lensing Cluster SDSS J1004+4112: Constraints from the Third Time Delay
We have built a new model for the lens system SDSS J1004+4112 including the recently measured time delay of the fourth quasar image. This time delay has a strong influence on the inner mass distribution of the lensing cluster (ρ ∝ r -α ) allowing us to determine $\alpha ={1.18}_{-0.03(-0.18)}^{+0.02(+0.11)}$ at the 68% (95%) confidence level in

  • A galaxy-driven model of type Ia supernova luminosity variations
Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) are used as standardizable candles to measure cosmological distances, but differences remain in their corrected luminosities which display a magnitude step as a function of host galaxy properties such as stellar mass and rest-frame U-R colour. Identifying the cause of these steps is key to cosmological analyses and
