Descripción
Galaxy redshift surveys from z ˜ 1 to z ˜ 4 providing thousands of identified objects are already available. Only for a small and selected sample of those galaxies, near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy and emission line studies exist. This is mainly due to the time-consuming work of observing one object at a time. This will change with the advent of multiobject NIR spectrographs.
