  • Self-consistent Combined HST, K-band, and Spitzer Photometric Catalogs of the BUFFALO Survey Fields
This article presents new astronomical source catalogs using data from the BUFFALO Survey. These catalogs contain detailed information for over 100,000 astronomical sources in the six BUFFALO clusters: A370, A2744, AS1063, MACS 0416, MACS 0717, and MACS 1149 spanning a total of 240 arcmin 2. The catalogs include positions and forced photometry

  • Search and analysis of giant radio galaxies with associated nuclei (SAGAN). IV. Interplay with the Supercluster environment
We investigated the prevalence of giant radio galaxies (GRGs), some of the largest structures powered by supermassive black holes, within supercluster environments, and the influence of such environments on their properties. Utilising two large catalogues of superclusters (401) and GRGs (1446), we established the existence of 77 GRGs (5.3%)

  • Scrutinizing evidence for the triggering of active galactic nuclei in the outskirts of massive galaxy clusters at z ≈ 1
Environmental effects are believed to play an important yet poorly understood role in triggering accretion events onto the supermassive black holes (SMBHs) of galaxies (active galactic nuclei; AGNs). Massive clusters, which represent the densest structures in the Universe, provide an excellent laboratory to isolate environmental effects and study

  • Radial gradients of CO absorptions and abundance ratios in the bulge of M31
We present new H- and K-band spectroscopy for the bulge of M31, taken with the LUCI spectrograph at the Large Binocular Telescope (LBT). We studied radial trends of CO absorption features (namely, CO1.58, CO1.60, CO1.64, CO1.66, CO1.68, CO2.30, CO2.32, and CO2.35) in the bulge of M31, out to a galactocentric distance of ∼100″ (∼380 pc). We find

  • Quantifying the typical scale of star formation in the spiral arms through their young stellar clusters
Star formation is a vital phenomenon across all fields of astronomy, shaping our universe in all its vastness, from the small scale of exoplanets to the large scales of galaxies and beyond. There are nevertheless still many unknowns surrounding star formation because of its complexity. Spiral arms are important sites of star formation, yet in spite

  • Precise abundances of Mg and neutron-capture elements in the Milky Way: chemodynamical relations using Gaia data and chemical evolution models
The abundance of alpha and neutron-capture elements provide an important fossil signature in Galactic archaeology for tracing the chemical evolution of the Milky Way stellar populations. The combination with the astrometry and photometry from the Gaia data releases allow us to build an accurate time evolving chemodynamical picture of the Galaxy
