  • Sensitivity Modeling for LiteBIRD
LiteBIRD is a future satellite mission designed to observe the polarization of the cosmic microwave background radiation in order to probe the inflationary universe. LiteBIRD is set to observe the sky using three telescopes with transition-edge sensor bolometers. In this work we estimated the LiteBIRD instrumental sensitivity using its current

  • Detection of Multiple Phase Space Overdensities of GSE Stars by Orbit Integration
In N-body simulations, nearly radial mergers can form shell-like overdensities in the sky position and phase space (r - v r ) due to the combination of dynamical friction and tidal stripping. The merger event of Gaia-Sausage-Enceladus (GSE) has provided a unique opportunity to study the shells in the phase space. To search for them, we integrate

  • Euclid preparation. XXVII. A UV-NIR spectral atlas of compact planetary nebulae for wavelength calibration
The Euclid mission will conduct an extragalactic survey over 15 000 deg 2 of the extragalactic sky. The spectroscopic channel of the Near-Infrared Spectrometer and Photometer (NISP) has a resolution of R ~ 450 for its blue and red grisms that collectively cover the 0.93-1.89 µm range. NISP will obtain spectroscopic redshifts for 3 × 10 7 galaxies

  • Exploring the stellar surface phenomena of WASP-52 and HAT-P-30 with ESPRESSO
We analyse spectroscopic and photometric transits of the hot Jupiters WASP-52 b and HAT-P30 b obtained with ESPRESSO, Eulercam and NGTS for both targets, and additional TESS data for HAT-P-30. Our goal is to update the system parameters and refine our knowledge of the host star surfaces. For WASP-52, the companion planet has occulted starspots in

  • Gaia Data Release 3. A golden sample of astrophysical parameters
Context.Gaia Data Release 3 (DR3) provides a wealth of new data products for the astronomical community to exploit, including astrophysical parameters for half a billion stars. In this work, we demonstrate the high quality of these data products and illustrate their use in different astrophysical contexts. Aims: We produce homogeneous samples of

  • Gaia Data Release 3. Chemical cartography of the Milky Way
Context. The motion of stars has been used to reveal details of the complex history of the Milky Way, in constant interaction with its environment. Nevertheless, to reconstruct the Galactic history puzzle in its entirety, the chemo-physical characterisation of stars is essential. Previous Gaia data releases were supported by a smaller
