  • Two Tails in NGC 3656 and the Major Merger Origin of Shell and Minor-Axis Dust Lane Elliptical Galaxies

  • Turbulence, mass loss and Hα emission by stochastic shocks in the hypergiant ρ Cassiopeiae.

  • The O III narrow line shapes in spectra of Mrk 817.
    The O III (4959, 5007) lines from spectra of Mrk 817 obtained from a 9-year long period were analyzed. A blue asymmetry of the lines is noticeable.   • The mass of the black hole in the low-inclination LMXB transient system GRO J0422+32 (=Nova Persei 1992)
    We present the first infrared light curve of GRO J0422+32, and use it along with R-band data and published I- and Cousins R_c-band data to constrain the inclination of the system to be between 10 deg and 26 deg, implying that the black hole mass is greater than ~15Msolar.
